The Car Top Carrier Cable Lock helps ensure that your gear stays in your cargo bag and on your vehicle. Don't let anyone grab your belongings during one of your pit stops.

The Cable Lock is made with a 35" retractable steel cable that adjusts to the exact length that you require. The cable closes into a lock with 3 tumblers that you set to your personal combination. Run the cable through the zipper pulls, plastic d-rings, and luggage rack to secure your carrier. The Cable Lock can be used with all of the Rightline Gear Car Top Carriers, the Car Top Duffle Bag, and the Cargo Saddlebag. The Car Top Carrier Cable Lock has no keys to lose and features a lightweight plastic housing that won’t damage your vehicle.

The Rightline Gear Security Cable Lock comes with the pre-set combination (0-0-0). You may reset this combination to your own personal combination code. Make sure you choose a code that you can easily remember because if the combination is forgotten, the lock cannot be used or reset.

To Set The Combination:

1. Align the pre-set combination (0-0-0) across the top of the lock.
2. Press the cable trigger located mid-way down the right side to make sure the cable is fully retracted.
3. Push in and hold the small reset button on the top left side by the cable head.
4. As you continue to hold the reset button, set the dials to your new combination.
5. Release the small reset button and your new combination will be set.

WARNING: Beware of accidental combination change. You will not be able to use or reset the lock if you do not know the current combination.

To Lock:

1. Align your combination across the top of the lock.
2. Press the cable trigger located mid-way down the right side and pull out your desired length of cable.
3. Push in and hold the lock button on the top right side by the cable hole.
4. Insert the cable head into the cable hole and release the lock button.
5. Scramble the combination.
6. Press the cable trigger to remove any slack in the cable.

To Unlock:

1. Align your combination across the top of the lock.
2. Press the lock button and pull out the cable from the cable hole.
3. Press the cable trigger to retract the cable into the lock's body.

Use the Car Top Carrier Cable Lock to go through the zipper pulls of a car top carrier bag and loop around the rooftop luggage rack.
